NetSmartz: Internet safety workshop now available

According to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children's 2000 report, Online Victimization: A Report on Our Nation's Youth, approximately one in five children received a sexual solicitation or approach over the Internet in one year. Children, parents and educators must inform themselves about potential dangers children can face while surfing the Internet.

The NetSmartz Workshop®, a program of the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children© and Boys & Girls Clubs of America, is an interactive, educational resource for youth (ages 5 to 17), parents, guardians, educators and law enforcement. The program uses age-appropriate, 3-D activities to teach young people how to stay safer on the Internet.
