This interactive site from the Allentown Art Musuem lets students explore this important period in art history. Learn about the life of a Renaissance artist, become a patron of the arts, or investigate Renaissance artwork in-depth. The fully interactive version requires the Flash plug-in.

This page has coloring pages and activities on a variety of artists and art topics.
ARTiculation
This interactive site has information about the elements of art, principles of design, and how to look at a work of art. There are printable activities and handouts, a glossary, and timeline. NOTE: Some of the lessons are for older students.

This site has lots of interactive games and activities about art. You can design a garden, learn about lines, paint a story, and much more.
Art Safari
Students can choose a work of art to explore and then write a story about what they see on this interactive site. Questions about each picture will appear to help guide the story.
Eyes On Art
This page has a variety of activities for students of different levels of ability. Begining students might try "You Choose" and more advanced students can try the "Double Vision" activity. Check out the visual glossary to see illustrations of art terms.
Artist's Toolkit
This site for younger students has interactive features for learning about the elements of art. Watch videos of artists at work, create your own virtual artwork that you can print, or read more about art in the encyclopedia.

BrainPOP! Art
Here is a listing of BrainPOPs relating to art. Watch the movie with Tim and Moby, then take a pop quiz. Topics such as color, imagination, portraits, and famous artists like Leonardo are included. NOTE: This site is available by subscription only.
Color Theory for Kids
This site has lots of games, activities, lesson ideas, and information about color for kids and teachers. Includes examples of student work and a Power Point presentation about color theory.

ThinkQuest: Out of This World Art
This site has information about different types of art that are sometimes overlooked as art, such as prehistoric paintings, masks, and stained glass. Each topic contains examples and an activity that you can try.
ThinkQuest: The Contemporary Art Experience
This site features the work of ten contemporary artists who happen to be female. You can read about the artists, see pictures of their work, or take a quiz. NOTE: This site contains a message board.
eThemes Resource: Famous People: Artists
