By September 22, 2008, complete all institution-specific registration procedures to ensure you are enrolled and will receive credit for your work.

If you do not receive e-mail confirmation that you are officially enrolled in the graduate credit course by September 30, contact Lorie Kaplan, eMINTS Program Coordinator, at emints-info@emints.org or (573) 884-7202 immediately.

Detailed procedures, course numbers, deadlines, enrollment forms, FAQ and more

You must follow all guidelines and procedures specific to the institution in which you choose to enroll. Note that each institution's procedures and requirements are unique. Be sure to follow them carefully to avoid any confusion over payment, grades or credits at a later date.

Dropping a course

Please be sure you want to complete the graduate credit course, including all assignments listed on the syllabus, before sending in an enrollment form. If you find that you must drop the course, you must let the contact person at the institution in which you are enrolled know immediately. Letting your course instructor or an eMINTS staff member know that you wish to drop is NOT sufficient to complete the drop process.

Advanced degrees for eMINTS teachers

Two Missouri institutions (University of Missouri-Columbia and Central Missouri State University) offer advanced degrees that allow eMINTS teachers to use the graduate credits they have earned in eMINTS professional development toward the completion of degrees. Other institutions may allow some of the hours to count but the decision is up to the individual advisor.

University of Missouri-Columbia

The University of Missouri-Columbia (UMC) will allow up to 12 hours of eMINTS graduate credit earned through UMC to be applied to online master’s or specialist degrees in the School of Information Science and Learning Technologies (SISLT) at UMC. It is not required to be admitted into a degree program prior to enrolling in graduate credit. Both the Master's degree and the Educational Specialist degree are fully online and available to educators across the U.S.

For more information about UMC degrees, contact the School of Information Science and Learning Technologies or call toll-free (877) 747-5868.

Central Missouri State University

CMSU offers a Master of Science Degree in Educational Technology. Up to nine hours of graduate credit earned for eMINTS training may transfer into this program reducing the course load to 23 hours. Of the 8 remaining courses, 4 are online and 4 are face-to-face in Lee's Summit or Warrensburg making this degree option applicable only to Missouri eMINTS teachers.

For more information about CMSU's Master's degree, contact Diane Wilson or call (660) 543-8636.
