The eMINTS National Center was the first professional development organization in the world to earn the “ISTE Seal of Alignment” from the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE), demonstrating full alignment with ISTE’s Educational Technology Standards for Teachers. Later, eMINTS was also awarded a Mastery Level alignment with ISTE’s Standards for Teachers.
eMINTS certified teachers were featured in Edutopia’s Schools that Work series (George Lucas Foundation, 2012) and earned recognition as a PD Affiliate of the Partnership for 21st Century Skills. A randomized control trial of the program found significant, positive teacher outcomes as well as student outcomes that meet What Works Clearinghouse (WWC) standards without reservations.
There are more than 325 certified eMINTS Affiliate Trainers located in schools and districts across 10 states and Australia who are able to train teachers on behalf of the Center. Between our training staff and district-located Affiliate Trainers, the eMINTS National Center has provided professional learning experiences for and certified over 2,000 eMINTS teachers.
Functioning as an outreach unit for the College of Education and Human Development at the University of Missouri, eMINTS conducts research and learning projects with various professors within the department and also through collaborations with the Assessment Resource Center (ARC) and Network for Educator Effectiveness (NEE) to help serve rural and urban school districts located in Missouri and other participating states. These affiliations with educational partners provide cohesive communications and services which lead to improvements in educational outcomes for our participating K-12 school districts.
