Who We Are & What We Do

eMINTS is a professional learning organization based at the University of Missouri, specializing in research-based training for educators and organizational leaders. We don’t offer one-size-fits-all solutions – instead, we partner with K-20 schools, districts, and businesses to design custom professional development, facilitate grant-funded programs, and provide self-paced courses. Whether you need ongoing facilitated training, want to join an active grant project, or prefer flexible online learning, we build solutions around your goals and context.

We Know What Works

Since its inception in 1999, external evaluations of the eMINTS program have been conducted to determine the effects of eMINTS professional development (PD) on teacher and student outcomes and to improve program implementation. As a result, the Center’s flagship program, eMINTS Comprehensive PD Program, is one of the few programs with data to support the chain of evidence from delivery of a specific technology PD program to changing teacher practice and to positive impacts on student achievement (Martin, Strother, Weatherholt, Dechaume, 2008).

An Investing in Innovations (i3) funded randomized control trial of the program found significant, positive teacher outcomes as well as student outcomes that meet What Works Clearinghouse (WWC) standards without reservations for “Moderate to Strong Evidence of Effectiveness.”
