eMINTS Comprehensive PD

Program Overview

The eMINTS Comprehensive PD Program helps teachers leverage the powerful combination of technology and research-based pedagogy so that students become collaborators, innovators, and problem-solvers. The school-based program consists of interactive group sessions, blended online delivery and in-classroom coaching/mentoring. Using the eMINTS Instructional Model, teachers create classrooms where they facilitate authentic learning experiences for their students that integrate technology to deepen learning. Teachers who successfully complete all program requirements earn eMINTS certification.

Format and Content

The eMINTS teacher program is an interactive and collaborative professional learning experience focused on building a viable community of learners, developing high-quality lessons, making learning authentic, and powering it all with technology. Cohort groups are led by a certified eMINTS Affiliate Trainer on a locally-determined schedule for professional development and collegial sharing. In addition, the eMINTS trainer also provides each teacher in-classroom coaching and support. These support visits are critical in transfer of training content and demonstration of the eMINTS Competencies into classroom practice. The eMINTS Comprehensive Program is most often implemented in an intensive two-year model but can also be extended across a three- or even four-year cycle.

These eMINTS training materials are available via eMINTS eXpedition. Contact the eMINTS National Center (emints-info@emints.org) for more information about how to access the eMINTS Materials found in eMINTS eXpedition.
