eMINTS for Administrators


Program Overview

The eMINTS4Administrators program is a two-year professional development experience for building principals that focuses on supporting teachers and students that are teaching and learning in eMINTS project classrooms. ​

Format and Content

eMINTS staff members facilitate admin cohorts with a combination of face-to-face, virtual, and online content, the participants experience a variety of topics. A sample of typical activities include:

  • Developing a PLN using Twitter or Google +
  • Using Virtual Communication methods such as Zoom, Skype, eMail and Educational Chats
  • Editing, Sharing, and Commenting using Google Tools
  • Participating and planning  community building activities
  • Drafting building goals and visions
  • Utilizing classroom walkthroughs to gauge integration successes
  • Sampling available online resources and classroom tools for teachers and students
  • Identifying best practices for digital citizenship in school buildings
  • Examining instructional models and discussing how they are used to improve instruction
  • Creating curation methods to be used for sharing, highlighting, and storing educational resources
  • Experiencing project-based, student -centered learning first hand
